Unwinding Tales About Us

We are glad you made it! A hearty welcome to our blog where we unwind our travel tales for you!

We are a couple who loves to travel the world, experience newness together and, capture the moments through our lens before they are gone forever. In the process, we also decided to document our experience and the things we learn along the way in the hope to encourage you all to see the world.

In this blog, you will be reading about our life in Germany and also our continued travels beyond our current home.

What kind of travelers are we?

You will read a lot about road trips in this blog. Our first road trip was in Mauritius when we were on our honeymoon and fell in love with the idea of road trips.

We also like hiking. While Aneesh has hiked the mighty Himalayas, I recently found my love for hiking.

Above all, we both love offbeat places but, also curious to see world-famous cities like Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, etc. So don’t be surprised if you find us blogging about those touristy places 🙂

While luxury travels look fascinating, we rather carefully choose pocket-friendly options in order to save pennies to explore more of this world.  All in all, we are budget travelers who indulge in luxury travels once in a while!

Who are we?

Chaithra Bhat

I am from Mangalore, Karnataka, India. After finishing my studies, I worked as a programmer for a software company for several years. When I was living in Bangalore, my sister and I have gone on some of the most impromptu trips of our lives and we still make fun of it (very proudly!) But, I could not continue to walk on that path partly because I was pouring my salary into the fashion industry 😀

Travel is not an alien word to my family but, we never made it to the outside of Karnataka except for my mom who never says no to any sort of adventure! I believe, a part of my love for travel comes from her.

After marrying Aneesh, I moved to the southern part of Germany (Aneesh was already working here). It is he who truly introduced me to the world of travel. We have been traveling around Europe for the past 4 years now and have cherished each moment of it. I now blog full time about our adventures on the road as well as some random thoughts about travel in general.

I also like photography. Photography is something I was always fond of, even before getting into the traveling world, I vividly remember almost every other weekend I used to go to some parks in Bangalore and would to spend the entire weekend photographing things.

Other than these, I also like painting/drawing, journaling and, singing. While my sisters and husband make fun of my ever-changing interests!  I assure you the things that stuck with me are writing and photography! 😀

Aneesh Vatedka

I  am too from Mangalore, Karnataka, India. I come from a family of travel enthusiasts. Back then as a kid, I grew up seeing my near and dear ones into travel and exploring the Western ghats, few others were into hiking in the Himalayas. All this inspired me and was waiting for my chance to start traveling and exploring. During my grad school, I started exploring the southern part of India along with my friends. After school, I  worked for an automotive company in Pune where I had better access to travel and explore due to its geographic location. While working I continued to pursue my passion for travel and went on a couple of Himalayan treks, which really opened my eyes and made a strong determination to explore our world with all my ability. Another time continuing with exploration, an adventurous safari in South Africa soon turned into a horrifying situation when a pride of hungry lions in an open field confronted us!

After I came out alive (pun intended), decided to move to Germany for my MBA and currently working in a German company that is well known for making high-performance Camera lenses!

Apart from traveling, the only hobby I’m tightly clinging to is photography. I could spend hours photographing Landscapes and Milkyways even during spine chilling winter (Does that explain well about my passion for photography?)

I feel I’m a foodie (Chaithra still debates on that) and love to eat any sort of vegetarian food EXCEPT the food should not be containing Bell pepper, Bottle guard, Bitter Guard, any veggies with a slightly sweet and/or bitter taste to it. BUT, I still am a foodie and could eat chillies with any level of spiciness! 😀

It will bring us enormous joy if you have decided to follow us along our journey. You can follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter

With love,

Chaithra & Aneesh
